Science Stars

February saw two Science highlights with our Year 5 and Year 6 pupils heading off to Arthur Terry and our Science Quiz team heading off to Oxford. The Year 5 and Year 6 pupils were invited to Arthur Terry to attend a highly entertaining chemistry demonstration given by a chemistry professor from Bristol University. The pupils witness chemicals combining and then growing out of containers, and explosions in mid air. The Science Quiz team meanwhile had qualified for the national finals of their competition and they went off to the Nuffield Laboratory in Oxford where they were bombarded by all sorts of science questions and gained a creditable seventh place.
